Sister Spotlight: Mia Brown

Many students take advantage of the amazing study abroad and international programs that Florida State University offers, including several members of Beta Mu. This summer one of our sisters, Mia Brown, is studying abroad in London, England. Mia is a nursing major in MC 23 and is a rising sophomore. She decided to study abroad because she loves traveling and wanted the opportunity to explore new places. Mia has some friends who have enjoyed their time studying abroad in the past and she wanted to have the same experience. 

While she’s been in London she’s been able to explore the city and see many of its famous sights. Mia has also been taking the Leadership in London Retail class. Through this class she’s gotten to visit some major London retailers including Fortnum and Masons, Selfridges, and Spitalfields Market. “I have really enjoyed the class and getting a behind the scenes look at so many cool places,” Mia explained. 

Not only has studying abroad allowed Mia to explore the city of London but she’s also gotten the opportunity to visit other places including Paris, France. Mia along with some of her friends took a quick two-hour train ride from London to visit Paris for the weekend. “The city was so beautiful we got to see the Eiffel Tower, The Palace of Versailles, and the process of setting up for the Olympics this summer. It was such a great trip,” Mia explained. 

As her four-week adventure is coming to an end, she’s sad to leave but she’s glad that she’s gotten to explore new places and enjoy the beautiful city.
