Juliana is a junior currently majoring in chemical engineering. After graduation, she plans on possibly going to graduate school to pursue a PhD and would like to work in pharmaceutical research development.
Currently, Juliana is involved in many extracurriculars at FSU to advance her academic and career goals. She is a member of Theta Tau, an engineering fraternity, and serves on the executive board. On the executive board, her role is the corresponding secretary. She also works for the Challenger Learning Center which is a K-12 outreach center for the FSU College of Engineering. There, she works as a STEAM Educator, educating kids of all ages in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. Additionally, Juliana performs research at FSU’s MagLab, the largest and highest-powered magnet laboratory in the world. Here, she works with professors to perform research on micro-robotics. She works on creating micro-robots for use in drug delivery which greatly helps her career goal of working in pharmaceuticals.
Additionally, Juliana enjoys being a part of Gamma Phi and states that it has allowed her to have friends who are not engineering majors. As she spends so much time working on her academic and career goals, she states that it is nice to be a part of a community of women who have different interests and passions. She also states that being a part of Gamma Phi has helped her grow connections with people that she would not have met in her academic life at FSU and make connections for her future career.
We are so proud of you Juliana and keep up the great work!
