Looks like the fams just got bigger! Big little is an exciting part of the new member process. This is when an older member is paired up with one of our new members. Over these past few weeks, potential bigs got to know MC 24 through fun activities such as coffee dates, lunch at the house, and big little mixers.
A Big plays an essential role in guiding their Little through their journey at Gamma Phi, serving as both a mentor and a close friend. This relationship is a cornerstone of the Gamma Phi experience, fostering a sense of sisterhood, support, and belonging. Bigs offer guidance, share personal insights, and help their Littles navigate the social, academic, and organizational aspects of being a Gamma Phi.
To celebrate and strengthen this bond, Bigs participate in a special tradition: "Big/Little Week." Throughout this week, the Bigs shower their Littles with thoughtful gifts and provide clues that build anticipation, allowing the Littles to guess the identity of their Big. It's a fun and meaningful way to welcome new members into the chapter, building excitement and deepening connections. By the end of the week, the Big reveals themselves in a special and memorable moment, marking the beginning of a lifelong bond within the Gamma Phi sisterhood.
This year, our sisters had an absolute blast choosing creative and unique themes for Big/Little Week. From whimsical ideas like The Grinch and Bob Ross to fun and nostalgic themes like Sleepover and many more, each Big put their own personal touch on the experience. These playful themes not only added excitement but also made the bond between Bigs and Littles even more special, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
We love watching all these fams grow!
