Beta Mu

The Beta Mu Chapter was established at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, on April 29, 1950.

The chapter was colonized under the leadership of Province Director Edith McChesney Ker (William & Mary, 1943) and Traveling Secretary Mary Jane Hipp Misthos (Colorado College). Initially, our chapter home was located on College Avenue, but we later moved to our current beautiful residence at 633 West Jefferson Street.

Today, Beta Mu proudly includes a sisterhood of approximately 270 members. Over the past 74 years, our chapter has fostered deep bonds of sisterhood while building strong connections with both the local Tallahassee community and the Florida State University campus. We remain dedicated to upholding our cherished traditions, leaving a lasting legacy at Florida State.
